Fulton Sunshine Academy’s Science Olympiad Team placed 6th overall at the Georgia State Level Elementary Science Olympiad Competition on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Kennesaw State University!

Congratulations to the Fulton Sunshine Academy Math Team for winning 2nd Place at the Cheetah Cup Math Competition on Saturday, April 25, 2015!!!

Over two hundred 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, representing 23 schools participated in the 6th Annual Cheetah Cup, a Math Olympiad Competition hosted by the Creek View Elementary Academic Bowl Team.

Fulton Sunshine Academy Destination Imagination team wins 1st Place at GA State Tournament 3 years in a row!

On Saturday March 28th, 2015, the FSA Destination Imagination team won the GA State Affiliate Tournament for three consecutive years. This year, the team is comprised of two (2) students, Viveca Harjani and Njeri Lewis, both 5th graders. A typical team can be up to 7 team members, however despite being a small team this year, the FSA DI team won 1st Place in the Technical Team Challenge. They also scored the highest points in every category in the Technical Team Challenge. In addition, the team won 2nd place in the Instant Challenge, spontaneous problem solving. When the trophy and medals were presented to the FSA team by the GA DI Affiliate Director, he commented that anything is possible in DI and he used the FSA team of two (2) students as an example for achieving great things against all odds.

The year, the Technical Team Challenge was to build a creature that uses technical methods to perform team-chosen actions, presented in a story of an adventure with the creature. Using technical methods, the team also demonstrated features of a world where the story is set.

Congratulations to the team members, their parents and coach, Mrs. Lauren Lewis, for an excellent job done. Special Thanks goes to the FSA administration and Ms. Judge, the school's DI coordinator for their support.

The team will advance to the 2015 DI Global Finals which will be held on May 20th - May 23rd in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Atlanta, GA -- Disaster Blaster, a student team from Fulton Sunshine Academy Elementary School located in North Fulton County, was awarded the Championship Award at the FIRST Lego League (FLL) State Championship held in Atlanta, GA at Georgia Institute of Technology on January 24th, 2015.

Fulton Sunshine Academy FLL Team Disaster Blasters advances to Georgia Tech FLL Georgia State Championship!

Congrtulations! The team Disaster Blasters made it to the State Championship to be held in Georgia Tech on Jan 24th.

The team members comprised of Aditya Munamarty, Varun Vijay, Nishanth Chandran, Radeen Dixon, Abhiram Vangapandu and Nikhil Dasari.

90 teams competed in the Super Regionals and the top 30 made it to the State. The team was also placed second in the Robot Performance category.

Fulton Sunshine Academy FLL Team Techno Pandas Receives 2 awards, Best Score in FLL Super Regional and Qualifies for FLL State Competition

Fulton Sunshine Academy FLL Team Techno Pandas Receives Robot Mechanical Design and Robot Performance awards (the only team with two awards).

Techno Pandas also made the Best Score in FLL Super Regional competition. Team Qualifies for the FLL State Competition which will be held in Athens on February 1st!
